From the desktop strike 4-Renal to enter the Exchange Frame. Enter exchange values, then strike NUTR to view nutrients, or MINER to view minerals in the renal diet. Alternatively, from the Nutrients frame, strike MINER to enter the minerals frame.

View values for protein, carbohydrate, and fat in grams and kilocalories

View values for sodium, potassium, and phosphorus, in milligrams and milliequivalents
 

Renal exchange frame

 

The Renal Exchange Frame permits you to enter renal exchanges by toggling the plus and minus buttons until the exchange count is correct. You may also save a diet, clear the exchange counts, or load the last saved diet. From the Renal Exchange Frame you can view the Nutrients Frame or the Minerals Frame.

A. Toggle the plus and minus buttons to show the desired dietary exchanges for each dietary group.The plus button adds one exchange. The minus button subtracts one exchange. Strike NUTRI to enter the nutrients frame.

A. Fat in grams, kcal, and pct kcal.
B. Protein in gms, kcal, and pct kcal.
C. Carbohydrate in gms, kcal, and pct kcal.
D. Total kilocalories for the diet.
E. Protein required for this patient, copied from the BEE/IBW program.
F. Adjusted BEE, copied from BEE/IBW program.
H. Strike Minerals to go to Renal Minerals frame.
I. Strike Excange to return to Renal Exchange frame.

Read
A. Sodium in milligrams and milliequivalents (meq).
B. Potassium in mg and meq.
C. Phosphorus in mg and meq.
