Select 3-Diabetic at the desktop to calculate kilocalories, fat, protein, and carbohydrates delivered from selected food groups.

Dietary groups

Use the Plus and minus buttons to increment or decrement exchange count

Exchange count for each dietary group

Load last saved exchange counts

Save current exchange counts

Zero all exchange counts

Diabetic nutrition calculations

 

A. In the Diabetic Exchange
Frame toggle the plus and minus buttons to show the desired dietary exchanges for each dietary group.The plus button adds one exchange. The minus button subtracts one exchange.
B. Strike Enter to go to diabetic nutrition frame.
 

The diabetic nutrition frame shows nutritional values for the diabetic diet selected. The values are given in three columns: grams, kilocalories, and percentage of total kilocalories.

In the Diabetic Nutrition Frame, read
A. Fat in grams, kcal, and pct kcal.
B. Protein in gms, kcal, and pct kcal.
C. Carbohydrate in gms, kcal, and pct kcal.
D. Total kilocalories for the diet.
E. Protein required for this patient, copied from the BEE/IBW program.
F. Adusted BEE, copied from BEE/IBW program.
G. Strike OK to return to the diabetic exchange frame.
